Once Fall gathers up its leaves and the hot summer nights gradually turn into dewy, brisk mornings, it means that the kids are back in school and we are all back to our regularly scheduled programming.
The change of season also brings in a lot of birthdays! The second half of the Virgos, balanced Libras, spicy Scorpios, and the wild Sags.
Did you know Scorpio is the most common zodiac sign? An estimated 9.6% of the US population falls under this stinger sign.
Fun Fact About Me
I love celebrating birthdays. Not just mine, but especially friends and family. Celebrating life is a beautiful thing. I also like to buy gifts that have meaning or value to the receiver. In my search gift-giving, I came across a sassy website called Malicious Women Co. and I found what I was looking for.
Not only was the name of the company memorable, but the story behind the candle company was so touching. Also, the Birthday Girl loved the name of the candle. It smelled amazing and emitted an aroma perfect for fall with woodsy undertones sprinkled with sweetness.
There’s also a Zodiac Collection and you can check out all 12 on their website too.
Mission: To Illuminate the Way...One Candle at a Time.
Mission & Giving Back
Malicious Women Co. was inspired by the story and loss of Laura, a dear friend of Lacie, the founder of the company. When Lacie lost Laura to suicide, she was driven to do something for those who may be suffering with depression, anxiety, suicide, addiction, self-harm, and all other personal battles that are overwhelming.
American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP),
Malicious Women Co. partnered with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), a voluntary health organization that gives those affected by suicide a nationwide community empowered by research, education, and advocacy to take action against this leading cause of death.
AFSP is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. AFSP creates a culture that’s smart about mental health by engaging in the following core strategies:
Funding scientific research
Educating the public about mental health and suicide prevention
Advocating for public policies in mental health and suicide prevention
Supporting survivors of suicide loss and those affected by suicide
