Here we are! Memorial Day Weekend — the unofficial start of summer.
More heat, less clothes, more sun, less inhibitions (for the most part). We made it through seasonal depression, surviving inflation, and we just want to lay under the sun with piña coladas.
Hi. I’m Stephanie, the creator of the Haus of Vibes Newsletter.
I’m a November baby but a lover of summer. I enjoy rooftop house music parties, dancing on the pier, rollerskating on the beachfront, and smiling ear to ear with my flip flops and sundress. Sounds like a dating profile. 😖 More on that in another newsletter.
♊ Gemini season is here. A time of duality. No, they’re not two-faced. There’s just no middle ground with them. This season is a reminder to let your yes mean yes and your no mean no. Be all in or all out. Dive in — don’t dip your toe in the water. Feel the good feelings and the bad ones too. Embrace the dualities of life.
Oh, and here’s a playlist:

On another note… Katt Williams must have opened Pandora’s box. What is happening?
As triggering as it may be for me and other victims of domestic violence to acknowledge the news on Sean “Diddy” Combs, it’s important to address the most current controversial news in entertainment. (No, I will not be sharing the video).
Yes, there are global issues that are plaguing us, but we can simultaneously be appalled at more than one thing at a time.
We can condemn violence in all facets, especially towards women. Survivors don’t have to forgive a damn thing. They don’t just have to “get over it and move on.” In the entertainment industry there are so many aspiring artists — so many people trying to make it, and so many are so easily dispensable to moguls like Diddy.
There are people employed by abusers like him who are scared to speak up. People who rather take a rack of money in exchange for their silence. There are so many levels of extortion and blackmail — levels that put people’s livelihood in danger.
Some of your faves are speaking out and condemning Diddy’s actions. Others choose to be silent while a select few choose to lift him in prayer.
The media showed a few minutes of ten year old surveillance footage that “disappeared” with a $50,000 bribe. There is absolutely without a shadow of a doubt, so much more.
As a music enthusiast and a woman making her way through this industry, what should we do about the entertainment business that has enabled Combs and others like him to gain wealth and power at the expense of the women around them?
Fear does not equal respect.
Maybe I’m beyond repulsed by the news, and my heart wants to send Diddy to hell, but I don’t think even hell wants him. How’s that for Bad Boy for Life?! 🖕🏽
