Black Music Month
Black Music Month was founded in 1979 by pioneer Kenny Gamble of Gamble and Huff and a group of Black executives who formed the Black Music Association (BMA) in 1978. BMA was created as a larger effort to mobilize black economic power so that they can have more control over our own business.
